What it runs on · The technology class · Q4 2026 edition
Cruise Technology Index
What cruise runs on. Nine pillars. Every criterion shows its evidence. Each product is graded in one function, with weights set for that function: security counts most where a product runs a ship’s commerce, AI counts most where a product sets prices.
In brief
- What it grades
- 27 products that run cruise's commercial systems, graded in the function each serves.
- How to read it
- Letters are read against full potential, no curve. Under 60% coverage a card is not graded; a provisional grade, marked *, carries its range.
- What to do with it
- Find your card, read the two pillars furthest from full potential, and start with the first assignment. Dispute any criterion with evidence.
To the class
There is no curve here. Every product on this card is read against full potential: in confirmed production across the CEI class, built for cruise’s own commercial objects, open in real time, running AI in commercial decisions with a client willing to name the result, safe at sea, landing on time, and priced on terms a buyer can read before signing. Enterprise technology is sold under confidentiality, so read the coverage column before the letter: a vendor whose clients will not be named will read lower on deployment than its installed base may deserve. That is a statement about the record.
A selection announcement is not a go-live, and an outage is attributed to a product only when someone with standing says so. A client willing to confirm a go-live on the record moves a card faster than anything a vendor can publish.
