Dream Cruises sits above StarCruises as the premium, family-and-gaming friendly brand in the new StarDream Cruises structure. In 2026 Genting Dream added a Port Klang homeport. A fuel surcharge waived in June for Singapore and Malaysia sailings returns at a lower rate for new bookings from 1 October. Premium Asian demand recovery and route access remain the swing factors.

Recent developments

  • 2026-04-14 · 10th anniversary; Genting Dream adds Port Klang homeport from 20 April 2026. Dream Cruises opened a year-long 'Decade of Dreams' celebration. Genting Dream sails 2-5 night itineraries year-round from Singapore and, from 20 April 2026, from Kuala Lumpur via Port Klang, with a buy-one-get-one-free offer on all sailings. [STARDREAM_26_DC10]
  • 2026-06-23 · Fuel surcharge waived in Singapore and Malaysia, halved in Taiwan and Hong Kong. For sailings from 26 June 2026, StarDream waived the fuel surcharge on Singapore and Malaysia departures and cut it by 50% for Taiwan and Hong Kong. The change covered Genting Dream, Star Navigator and Star Voyager. [STARDREAM_26_FUEL]
  • 2026-09-03 · Genting Dream fuel surcharge returns at a lower rate. Ten weeks after the waiver, Dream Cruises reintroduced a fuel surcharge of SG$10 per guest per night, down from SG$15, on Genting Dream sailings from Singapore, Port Klang and Melaka. It applies to new bookings from 1 October 2026, and the line cited Middle East tensions. [STARDREAM_26_GDRFUEL]
  • 2026-09-17 · Product & Experience pillar added. Dream Cruises operates one ship, Genting Dream (2016, 151,300 GT). Sister brand StarCruises operates Star Navigator (ex-Resorts World One) and Star Voyager (ex-P&O Australia Pacific Explorer, relaunched March 2025 after a $50 million refit). The StarCruises and Dream Cruises brands replaced Resorts World Cruises in a February 2025 reorganisation, after Genting Hong Kong collapsed in 2022. StarDream Cruises received the 'Special Contributor to Asia Cruise Industry Award' at the 2026 Asia Cruise Forum in Jeju. No Cruise Critic member rating was found for this line, so the guest-rated part of this score uses the peer-group median. [BR47_PXFLEET]
